On February 12th author,
Ellen Oh, visited Bryn Mawr. She spoke at Middle School Convocation and Upper School Assembly. Then she joined students for lunch in the Edith Hamilton Library. Ellen spoke about growing up as a Korean American in Brooklyn, the writing process (in memes), and about why it is important for children to see characters who look like them in books.
She is the co-founder of
We Need Diverse Books. Ellen is the author of
The Prophecy Series and Spirit Hunters, and
the editor of
Flying Lessons & Other Stories.
